“Cryo-MOSFET” cryogenic power elecronics experiment

Coming soon – I need to sort out half an hour worth of videos, and find the measurement data which I scribbled onto a piece of paper and has disappeared over the last semester!

The experiment involved cooling of several chosen power mosfets in liquid nitrogen, and succesfully demonstrated ON resistance drop of about 10 times compared to the room temperature. In my future research I would like to investigate the possible application of cryogenically cooled devices for demanding uses such as ultra-high frequency, high power radio amplifiers, on various device types including those made from different semiconducting materials than silicon.
